It's important for you to select the right FAA Part 65 Aircraft Dispatcher School that meets your needs!
When we meet with potential students, here are a couple of tips we recommend during their school search!
1. Avoid schools that only focus on getting you past the Aircraft Dispatcher Written/Practical.
You'll be spending a bit of money to earn your FAA Aircraft Dispatcher License, it's important to find a school that not only helps you pass the required tests but you also need a school that is going to teach you best industry practices, use airline systems and processes and have staff that have actually dispatched at commercial airlines.
2. No intimidation needed! At North American Flight Control, you can expect a staff that is going to support your educational growth and be there to support you through out your career!
This is not rocket science but it does require dedication to study and focus on the part of the student.
Finding The Best Aircraft Dispatching Training
Review the FAA Database
The FAA provides a publicly available list of Part 65 Approved Dispatch schools. You can view the list here. Whatever school you choose, make sure they're on this list!
How Much Does the Program Cost?
Don't be intimated by high cost schools that claim "you get what you pay for" when considering a lower cost program. Each Part 65 Approved Aircraft Dispatcher School is overseen directly by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and must meet their strict standards.
Furthermore, each school must teach the same content as detailed in Appendix A of Part 65.
Each school is teaching the same content, because it's required by federal regulation.
How is it taught?
The only difference between dispatch schools is how the content is taught and who is teaching it. At North American Flight Control, we approach aircraft dispatcher training with the concept that we immerse our students in the dispatch office environment to help you make the transition from the class room to the work environment seamlessly.
